The Stadium Experience:

I sat near a pair of nice gentlemen. They were the best fans I met to date…friendly, engaging, and into Stanford football. Nothing obnoxious or rude about these guys, they were the kind of guys you’d hope to see in a sports bar, who will talk sports history, and about today’s game, then, suddenly, interrupt their speech to look at the action. Those guys get a 9. I wish I would have gotten a picture with them. Stanford Stadium has no real view to speak of. It’s on the campus of the University, and I LOVE the layout and makeup of Stanford, but nothing made the football setting special; so, only a 5. Concessions were okay; hence, a 5. The band did little to motivate me even as Stanford was piling on the points. The stadium atmosphere felt hollow. Coach Harbaugh mentioned the lack of fans on this day in his post game press release. I wasn’t impressed at all, so, I’m giving a low mark of 4. Parking was a nightmare, and not well laid out for me to find my vehicle. I always try to park near something notable and even take a picture of my spot, yet finding the car was still an adventure. The attendants couldn’t even help me, a terrible experience. Gotta ding you Stanford, sorry but a 2 is being gracious. Stanford Stadium nets 25. Maybe on a different day it will be a better place.
