The Stadium Experience:

Scott Stadium Charlottesville, VA. Opening weekend 2016, and like always I was JAZZED! We left Williamsburg early to get to get to Scott Stadium as Hurricane Hermine was about to make landfall. Well, let's just say that Charlottesville is a beautiful town. I can't give this trip more than that. Parking was a good 30 minute walk away from the stadium and inexpensive at $15. Walking thru the campus was nice. It was picturesque and beautiful. Fanfest took place in the gym across from the stadium, but it had NOTHING to do with football. The band didn't show. There was no pep rally. Cavman didn't make an appearance. Members of cheer and the dance squads were present, but they were handing out basketballs for the kids to shoot around. WTF? This was a MAJOR disappointment, and the worst fan experience I ever had. It was just a prelude to what was to come. The team played terribly in a loss to Richmond; the most of the fans didn't know what the heck a Wahoo was or why the team has this nickname. Overall, I'm just glad we went here first, because we only have up to go. This place will never get a repeat.
