The Stadium Experience:

Stanford Stadium I’d like to start this write up with a GIANT thank you to Allison Crow for all of her help in paving the way for meeting with the spirit groups. Thanks to her efforts I was able to meet the Tree, the Dollies, and the LSJUMB. Stanford’s public parking spots are FREE on Saturday even on game day! You have to walk thru their beautiful campus a bit to get to the stadium, but I’m able bodied. This was a better parking experience than my first trip out here, and I can only blame myself for the stress of it now. Parking nets a 10. Fanfare was great here. LSJUMB gave a pregame concert in the Fan Fest area that had me jazzed. The energy here was fantastic! - 7. The fans were on their feet for the huge butt whipping that was given to UC Davis. It was a different place from several years ago. – 8. The LSJUMB band were hopping this time around. I was sitting on the side near the students, and that could have made a difference. – 8. Concessions were, well, concessions. Reasonable, but run of the mill. – 5. This return trip to Stanford was MUCH better than the first schlep out to Palo Alto, and much of it had to do with me being more savvy with these experiences – 38. A week in Lake Tahoe, and then a return to the Bay Area with a stop at Cal aka Berkeley next week.
