The Stadium Experience:

San Diego, California - The University of San Diego We met a great guy at the USC game last week, who suggested we take in this smaller venue. Considering this game was at noon and SDSU at 4:30, we decided to give it a shot. Finding parking was a slight challenge, because there aren''t a ton of parking spaces right near the stadium. We parked near the bookstore which proved great, because we needed to purchase t-shirts. Parking is free when you can find it. That's a solid 9. We walked over to the stadium, and took in some of the sights on campus. The architecture is quaint and pleasant. It made for a nice stroll. ZERO fanfare was a MAJOR downer. We could care less about watching a football game; we do this for the rah rah. There was no band concert pre-game or halftime; we did run into the mascot, Diego Torero. So, I''ll give USD a very quiet 1 here. The fans were nice, and easy to talk to. Fan experience was average - 5. Views from the stadium, well, not really. The campus as a whole is wonderful, but I don''t usually describe that - 5. Concessions were expensive. Obviously, this is a school where the student body has money, and that is reflected in the cost of goods - 4. USD nets a 24. We watched until halftime, and bolted for Qualcomm Stadium and the SDSU Aztecs.
