The Stadium Experience:

I asked a pair of fans, Raymond and his grandson, to take my photo before the game, and they allowed me to join them. They were engaging and friendly. The fans here get a 9. Everyone was nice, friendly, and willing to talk with a stranger. The views at Arizona Stadium are spectacular. Being a person who loves the mountains, I was in heaven, much like I was in Reno. This is one of the best views that I have seen -- 8. The atmosphere and pageantry is nice. The fans get into the game by cheering first downs, touchdowns, and jingle their keys on kickoffs. The band was great! - during the game, but the halftime show was awful. It's the first stadium that I attended where the band had NO pre-game show. Overall, I'd give the fanfare etc a 6 with the fans reactions making up for the pre-game and halftime festivities. Not sure where public parking is, because I rode a Suntran shuttle to and from the game. Great price $3 round trip. Even less if you are a senior at $1.50. Major downside is that the buses don't run frequently. They run when a bus fills up. So, if you're on a bus early expect to wait sometimes 30 minutes or more. Overall that gets a 3. My Sun Devil Stadium experience totals to an ok 31. It really should have been higher.
