The Stadium Experience:

I enjoyed the experience here. the fans were friendly, warm, and relaxed. I give them an 8. Tampa is a pretty area. Unfortunately, there just isn't much to see near the stadium. I give it a 6. It wasn't awful, but it wasn't knock your socks off either. The atmosphere and feel of this place was pretty dry. Most of the people seemed like they came to work on their tan. They were not wildly enthusiastic, and waited until final minutes of the 4th qtr to REALLY start cheering. The chants of usf on Cincinnati's final drive were stirring, but where was that excitement for the other 57 minutes of the game? I enjoyed the band. Thath is when you could hear them. Again the spectre of watching a college game in a pro stadium showed it's head. The loudspeakers and pop music blared often; so, many of the bands songs were unable to be heard unless you were Horton listening for a who. This nets a 6, mainly because I enjoyed the band, and the final minutes of the 4th quarter. Parking was nice and easy - a very short walk to stadium. It wasn't costly at $15, and provided a quick getaway to the hwy. A 7 for above average. Raymond James Stadium grabs a respectable 32.
